Dear
Members and Friends,
Welcome to
ACES’s twenty-eighth season. To open this season we are
bringing back a shore favorite, the Peninsulaires. Many of
you know some of their members who reside among us. Their
quartet is memorable! Another returning favorite is the
Virginia Symphony. You won’t want to miss them.
New to the
Shore are Jennifer Kirkland and Bert Carlson who will
present creative jazz arrangements of American music. Word
Beat is also a duo, presenting spoken word and songs with
rhythm and music from diverse cultures. Audience members are
certain to be impressed by the intimate musicality and
technical wizardry of the professional Virginia Handbell
Consort. Also, we are pleased to present the Bowen McCauley
Dance group, a ballet-based contemporary dance troupe
performing for us from the company’s repertoire.
As you
know, some of our costs are underwritten by grants from the
Virginia Commission for the Arts, the National Endowment for
the Arts and generous contributions from local businesses.
But we cannot continue to bring these events to the Shore
without the generous support of our members. The following
table shows our ticketing structure for this year. Note as
usual, the prices are set to benefit our members. |
